Information
A veteran teacher presents the Arduino Alvik robot and its online resources, demonstrating their impact in a robotics class in a middle school for twice-exceptional students. Participants will learn how this course boosts students' confidence and skills in coding and technology while inviting them to play, create, and collaborate.
Outline
Content: The poster board and running slideshow will showcase experiences and strategies that the presenter has used to run robotics classes with 2E students. Presenter will also demonstrate the online Arduino Alvik block code lessons and resources that are available for other teachers to use in their classes.
Time: Participants will be able to approach the booth at any time during the session to engage with the presenter and the Alvik robots.
Process: Participants can passively observe and read posted resources, or engage directly in conversation with the presenter. There will be multiple Alvik robots available for participants to play with and get hands on experience coding and attempting the lesson challenges.
