Information
Highschool students and teachers will present an innovative low-cost solution using AI and robotic science to clean the oceans. They will explain how they applied their hard and soft skills to design and build the prototype in a makerspace and how they became technology leaders by using machine learning.
Outline
With the enthusiasm of beig creative and innovative technology designers, students will present the audience the way they learned how to apply AI in robotic science. The presentation will contain an introduction to the context problem, the technical details and electronic components of the robot, how they used AI(machine learning) to identify data (ocean trash)and finally the programming needed. They will share their experience on learning by problem-solving.
They will spend 3 minutes on each component (total of 15 minutes) and also more 10 minutes explaining the problems they encountered and how they solved it. Finally 10 more minutes for attending the audience´s doubts. A total of 35 minutes, and they can repeat the presentation as needed.
To engage the audience they will demostrate the prototype, the electronic components used and the code to the audience. They will invite the audience to create an AI routine for using a camera.
