**Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization that partners with school districts across the country to provide district-level support for unfinished learning in math, science and reading, as well as SAT practice. Our three offerings for districts are Khan Academy Districts, MAP Accelerator, in collaboration with NWEA, and Khan Academy Kids for preschool through second grade. Khan Academy’s mastery-based learning system allows students to learn key concepts at a pace that's right for them while allowing them to stay at grade level. Long Beach Unified reported that students who used Khan Academy for 30 minutes a week gained 22 additional points on the state math assessment. The district indicates this is roughly two times the district target and a .20 effect size.
