3DEDU is a St. Louis based leader in 3D printing innovation, education and workforce development, dedicated to empowering learners and educators through hands-on design and real-world problem solving. Our Education Outreach Program bridges classroom learning with industry tools by providing teacher certification cohorts, student programs, and community partnerships that make advanced manufacturing accessible, equitable, and inspiring.
Led by Director of Education Dr. Laura Holt-Hovis, the program supports K-12 schools, universities, and informal learning spaces with standards-aligned professional development, curriculum integration, and maker-centered learning experiences. Educators gain confidence using CAD, 3D printers, and design thinking to strengthen STEM, literacy, and computational thinking while fostering creativity and career awareness.
Through on-site training, mobile workshops, youth camps, and adult learning pathways, 3DEDU cultivates the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators. Our mission is to ensure every learner, regardless of background, can move from imagination to tangible creation, transforming ideas into solutions that shape the future.
